A study conducted by Wayne State University is noted in this article about the growing roles of Macomb County's recreation centers in the community. Included in the study was a survey of Sterling Heights citizens who were found to support, by 55 percent, an increase in taxes to construct the new Family Life Center in Shelby Township.
